I offer clinical supervision for counsellors, therapists, trainees and other professionals working within the mental health and wellbeing industry, offering a supportive, reflective and creative space to grow their practice.
With ten years experience in therapy, four years experience as a lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy and a background in education (PGCE), I bring a clear, structured and accessible approach to supervision. My aim is to create a safe space where you can explore your work, develop your confidence and strengthen your ethical, effective practice with clients and service users.
My Approach
I use the 7-eyed model of supervision to help your explore:
- Your clients process, experiences and perspectives
- Your own process and self, and how this may be aiding/hindering the therapeutic process
- The relationship dynamic between you and your client
- Your own personal and professional growth, including strengthening your modality and skills
- Wider contexts around you, your client and your work, such as social, systemic, cultural and organisational influences
As an anti-oppressive practitioner, I place particular emphasis on systems, culture and society, as I believe understanding how these shape both the clients world and our own can help us work ethically, compassionately and with depth.
As an art therapist, I can integrate creative approaches into your supervision, helping you to use imagery, metaphor and art to explore subconscious or subversive meaning and processes that may be playing out in therapy, supporting you to gain new perspectives and insights as well as building your creative problem-solving and adaptability in practice.
Who I Work With
- Qualified and trainee counsellors, talking therapists and art therapists
- Wellbeing practitioners, social prescribers and mentors
- Other wellbeing or mental health professionals seeking creative and reflective supervision
Group Supervision
I run monthly creative supervision groups for practitioners based in or around Bolton. The group meets one evening a month for 2 hours, with a maximum of 4 participants, to explore their work through art making together.
BACP members can count this group as 1 hour towards their monthly supervision.
Creative supervision groups within services can be commissioned upon request- please email inked.art.therapy@gmail.com for more details
Practicalities
I offer both online or in person supervision, depending on your needs and location.
Frequency and length of sessions depends on your needs and governing/ethical body. Trainees are encouraged to clarify the requirements of their course provider before beginning supervision.
I offer a sliding scale of fees for supervision of £60-80 per hour (£90-£120 for 90 min sessions), depending on your budget. I have limited supervision spaces for lower trainee rates upon request.
